Not a good headline and we kept it from happening when a local club's
gay patron was attacked on the dance floor by another customer. The
uninsured victim experienced severe injuries and the club's owners were
appalled. We helped them to turn the tragedy into an opportunity with a
few strategic steps.
First, they reached out to the victim instantly and ultimately hosted
several fundraisers, including a drag show, to cover his medical
expenses and demonstrate tolerance.
Second, they assisted law enforcement in their investigation in every
way possible.
Third, they spearheaded a business coalition to promote tolerance.
And lastly, they increased their own internal security and customer
safety by making their bouncers more visible.
Instead of becoming known as an unsafe place, with our help, this
business became a strong ally of the gay community and earned a good
reputation with the community at large.

Your team did a fantastic
job coordinating media and the rally on our lobby day. The turnout was
great!

It's official, you rock. More attendees than expected, more [money]
raised, more sponsors, more excitement and enthusiasm. Damn good job.

The fact that [a TV spot] was
done for about as much money as it costs to buy pizza for a phone bank
is pretty impressive.
